Fallon signs with St Johnstone in Scotland


New Zealand striker Rory Fallon has signed a one-year contract with Scottish club St Johnstone.

Fallon was released by Premier League rivals Aberdeen in June after scoring three goals in 37 league games over two seasons. He scored six goals in Scottish Cup matches chuen hing.

The 31-year-old will be eligible for St Johnstone's Europa League second qualifying round tie against Rosenborg in Norway on July 18.

Perth-based St Johnstone finished third in the 2012-13 Scottish Premier League while Aberdeen placed eighth in the 12-team championship wine education.

Fallon has spent most of his career in Great Britain, having previously played for Barnsley, Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury, Swansea City, Swindon Town and Yeovil.

The lanky striker is best known in New Zealand for scoring the All Whites' goal in a 1-0 win over Bahrain in Wellington four years ago to qualify for the 2010 World Cup Asian college of knowledge management.
